We offer a variety of services to children that are Medicaid eligible through the Department of Health and Welfare to assist them in meeting their full potential by developing skills, addressing maladaptive behaviors through the teaching of appropriate replacement behaviors, and collaboration with other professionals. Services include: Behavior intervention and Assessment, Community Based Supports, Respite, Family Education, Interdisciplinary Training, and Crisis Intervention.
Individuals from birth through the month of their 21st birthday who are Medicaid eligible may qualify if they have functional and/or behavior needs that require intervention or support services. These services are provided through Medicaid Developmental Disability Agencies.
Family-Directed Services Model
Under the Family Directed Services option, families are responsible for hiring their support workers and may be able to use the child’s determined budget for goods and services to help their child meet their full potential. Families can choose to hire a professional Support Broker out of their child’s budget to assist with budget plan writing. Mandatory trainings offered by the Department are required for families that wish to pursue this route. Children’s Behavioral Intervention and Habilitative Skill services can be accessed while choosing supports through the FDS pathway. If you choose this route, A & R would be glad to help assist you through the process from providing fully qualified, pre-screened service providers to acting as a liaison during the provider rate negotiation.
